Welcome to the Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM)!
MetTel’s POTS Transformation solution, known as POTS-in-a-Box (PIAB), is designed to replace traditional analog telephone services with a modern, digital alternative. This solution is particularly beneficial for the Department of Defense (DoD) community as it addresses the challenges associated with the ongoing retirement of copper lines, which has led to increased costs and deteriorating service quality. PIAB leverages dual carrier private 4G LTE for secure and reliable transport, ensuring that all data packets remain off the public internet, thus providing high levels of security and reliability.
The PIAB solution offers several key benefits to the DoD community. It provides a turnkey, fully managed service that includes professional installation, 24/7/365 support, and AI-powered monitoring. This ensures minimal disruption during the transition and ongoing operational efficiency. Additionally, the solution is designed to handle various specialty lines, such as those used for elevator systems, security systems, and fire panels, making it a versatile choice for diverse DoD applications. The robust network infrastructure, combined with features like dual SIM failover and up to 24-hour battery backup, ensures continuous service even during network outages.
By adopting MetTel’s POTS Transformation solution, the DoD can achieve enhanced service continuity, improved security, and significant cost savings. This future-proof solution not only mitigates the risks associated with aging copper infrastructure but also positions the DoD to leverage future technological advancements without being constrained by outdated systems. MetTel’s proven track record with largescale deployments, such as with the United States Postal Service, and its recognition as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Managed Network Services four years running, underscores its capability to deliver reliable and scalable solutions tailored to the needs of the DoD community.
