Welcome to the Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM)!
The Challenge Facing Network Operators and labs: With the widespread deployment of Zero Trust and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) networks, the biggest concern for IT managers is ensuring DoD network users can access applications when required and securely without compromising their daily performance. Operators providing ZTNA/SASE services need to live up to enterprise expected SLAs. The challenge is understanding the limits of connections under varying traffic loads.
ZTNA/SASE is a complex multifunctional set of tools, so ensuring the system is correctly dimensioned, integrated and performing at expected levels requires thorough testing. Additionally, platform resiliency and redundancy needs to be verified all the time, ensuring network user work day experience is uninterrupted.
The VIAVI Solution: Viavi’s has developed solutions for test and validation of ZTNA/SASE by measuring traffic volumes, connection limits, redundancy options, latency allowances, cloud access and most important of all, user performance. Delivering on enterprise expected SLAs requires a single SASE test solution offering the most realistic user end-point emulation at scale, deployed in any cloud environment, testing all aspects including SD-WAN, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateway, Data Loss Prevention, FWaaS with additional support for secure VPN. Viavi can help ZTNA/SASE service operator test the user performance remains stable as additional security checks are added and as load increases, ensuring they meet their SLAs in the field.
Business Impact: ZTNA/SASE operators who don’t test, run the risk of seeing connection limits and user degradation occurring in real time and ending up breaking SLAs resulting in financial penalties and damaged reputation. The safest way to launch SASE service with confidence is to thoroughly test in the lab with emulated users and real traffic using Viavi’s ZTNA/SASE Test solution.
