Welcome to the Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM)!
Ocient is a Data Analytics Platform enables organizations to transform, store, and analyze extremely large (>100TB) data sets while delivering transformational price/performance. Built to harness trillions of records, Ocient executes OLAP-style queries and machine learning on historical data using a distributed SQL platform. It is 10-50x faster than other solutions and consolidates multiple workloads on a single, unified platform without compromising performance.
Founded in 2016, funded by venture firms including In-Q-Tel, and composed of data engineers from such firms as IBM, Netezza, Cleversafe, and Oracle, Ocient is designed to provide insights in interactive time (seconds or minutes instead of hours) without the need for a separate ETL tool. Data is made available for queries within seconds with sophisticated workload management, primary and secondary indexes, intra-database machine learning and ELT, and full support for ANSI SQL. Ocient can be deployed on premises on commodity hardware (for maximum control) or deployed in the Cloud (for maximum flexibility).
Ocient has been deployed in production in industry verticals such as finance, telco, and AdTech. Ocient’s unique capabilities such as OcientGeo (https://ocient.com/geospatial/) and OcientML (https://ocient.com/machine-learning/) make Ocient an ideal data platform for data-intensive use cases such as geospatial analysis and large-scale cybersecurity.
