Welcome to the Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM)!
Glasswall’s technology is a proactive Zero Trust file sanitization solution that utilizes Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) to neutralize threats embedded within files and data streams. Glasswall reconstructs files into a safe and clean format, ensuring that only secure and compliant data is passed through the system. This capability is essential for maintaining operational continuity, reducing the attack surface, and safeguarding critical mission data in highly contested and disconnected environments. Glasswall operates seamlessly across various platforms from the laptop to the cloud.
Glasswall’s Zero Trust CDR technology takes files through our patented four-step process to rebuild each file back to its manufacturer’s ‘known-good’ specification. During each phase, the file gets analyzed. The results from each phase feed into the next one, keeping them separate. After these four phases finish, we create a clean file without threats along with a report explaining what risks were found and how they were removed.
Step 1 – Inspect. Documents are inspected to understand file structure and component sizes to generate a detailed analysis report.
Step 2 – Rebuild. Here, an iterator starts with the root file structure and validates each component it encounters. If the data does not match the standard, the file fails validation. Glasswall attempts to repair the file to meet the specification; or alternatively, it records the issue and indicates that a new file cannot be safely regenerated.
Step 3 – Clean. We sanitize the document for malware using configurable content management settings customized to the End User’s policy profile.
Step 4 – Deliver. In the final phase, semantic checks are performed to maintain visual integrity and ensure usability according to the manufacturer’s published specification.
